TERMS AND CONDITIONS
EXHIBITIONS CONDITIONS 

1. Payments for participation in the Exhibition must be made in full, in advance, otherwise the Organisers reserve the right to relet the stand and retain any sum already paid.

2. Cancellation of booking will not be accepted after 1 March 2001. OITE reserves the right to claim/retain all amount paid / outstanding in part or full for such space booked.

3. The Agreement to exhibit is irrevocable by the Exhibitor and only in exceptional circumstances will the Organiser agree to cancel contact or refund any part of the payments already made.

4. Only 'products' and 'company's names' entered on the application form will be allowed to be displayed on the stand. No sub-letting or exchange of any part of the space applied for Shell Scheme Service or Optional Stand Service or electrical items is permitted. No cooking (re)heating or selling of cooked / raw foods or beverages inside the exhibition venue.

5. Stands must be occupied by 8.00 am on 21 April, 2001, otherwise the Organisers reserve the rights to relet the space or deal with it in any way they see fit and retain any sums of money already paid, and further claim for such space booked irrespective of the fact that it is not occupied.

6. Exhibitors are wholly responsible for the safety of their exhibits, employees, public and themselves before/during /after the exhibition. The Organisers will accept no responsibility for loss or damage whatsoever caused to any exhibit or the property of any Exxhibor.

7. Exhibitors are not allowed to bring in to the Exhibition area / stands any exhibit or any substance which is liable to cause harm to the public or cause a fire or explosion. The Organisers may in their absolute discretion demand the removal of, or take steps themselves to remove, any such exhibit or substance of the Exhibitor's expense.

8. Except with the express written permission of the Organisers, only officially appointed contractors may be used for any electrical and stand building works, for supply of cranes or other lifting apparatus.

9. The Organiser shall not be responsible for the loss of or damage to any property of the Exhibitor or any other person caused by theft, fire, defect in the Exhibition Hall "The Hall", storm, tempest, lightning, national emergency, civil unrest, war, labour disputes, lackouts, explosions, acts of God and general cause of force majeure whether or not ejusdem generies with the foregoing or any cause not within the Organisers control or for any loss or damages sustained in the event that the opening or holding of the Exhibition is prevented, postponed or abandoned or if the hall becomes totally or partially unavailable for holding of the Exhibition due to any of the foregoing cause. The Exhibitor shall indemnify and hold the Organiser safe and harmless from all loss and damage to person or property and all claims arising out of the Exhibitor's stand fittings and for the Exhibitor's proportion of the shell scheme and for any loss or damage to the basic shell scheme stand. The Exhibitors is advised to take out an insurance cover for the purpose of indemnifying the Organiser as aforesaid and also to cover itself against all risks in respect of which the Organiser is expressed not to be responsible in these conditions.

10. In no event shall the Exhibitor, have any claim for damages of any kind against the Organiser in respect of any loss or damage consequent upon breakdown prevention or postponement or abandonment of the exhibition by reason of the happening of any of the events referred to in condition 9 or otherwise or of the Hall becoming wholly or partially unavailable for the holding of the Exhibition for reasons beyond the Organiser's control and the Organiser shall be entitled to retain all sums paid by the Exhibitor or such part thereof as the Organiser shall consider necessary. If in the opinion of the Organiser by re-arrangement or postponement of the period of the Exhibition or by substitution of another hall or building or in any other reasonable manner, the Exhibition can be carried out, these conditions shall be binding upon the parties except as to size and position as to which any modification or re-arrangement shall be determined by the Organiser.

11. The Exhibitor shall hold the Organiser safe and harmless from all loss or damages suffered by or arising out of any act or default of any servant, agent, employee or sub-contractor of the Exhibitor.

12. All display, advertising exhibits and stand arrangements shall be appropriate to the subject matter of the Exhibition in the sole opinion of the Organiser and shall be tasteful and of a suitable high standard and shall not contravene or conflict with any moral or local custom and if in the opinion of the Organiser, the Exhibitor is in breach of this clause the Organiser may direct the Exhibitor to rectify any such breach and the Exhibitor shall immediately act accordingly.

13. In the event of a breach of any conditions for participation or payment, the Organiser reserves the right in all cases to retain all monies paid by the Exhibitor and have a lien/retain all goods of the Exhibitor and at the discretion of the Organiser, auction or sell the goods of the Exhibitor to recover the money due to the Organiser and recover further money from the Exhibitor as provided herein.

14. All payments for participation should be paid without exception prior to the opening date of the exhibition in exceptional cases where it is not accompanied with the contract form. Failing which, the Organiser reserves the right to claim an additional 2% interest per month in addition to the participation fees from the exhibitor this will commence from the opening date of the exhibition.

15. An Exhibitor's manual will be issued to the Exhibitor containing detailed information / guidelines for participation in the Exhibition. All conditions and details contained therein is bringing on all Exhibitors and must be complied with, without exception.

16. Any item of Shell Scheme not required by the Exhibitor, should be returned to the Organisers and is non-transferable to any other Exhibitor. All items found during physical inventory other than Shell Scheme will be charged as per our Optional Items / Service / Electrical list, irrespective of the fact whether the same has been requested in writing by the Exhibitor or not.

17. The Organisers cannot accept any complaint or claim against them unless submitted in writing within two weeks of the closing of the Exhibition.

CONFERENCE CONDITIONS

1. The Organisers reserve the right to claim all money due from the Delegate where money has not been paid in full.

2. Cancellations must be received in writing by 1 March 2001.

3. The Delegates agrees to hold harmless and indemnify the Organisers against loss, cast, expense and causes of action, including fees and court costs, for bodily injuries (which terms shall sickness & / or death) to any person and loss, damage or destruction of or to any property of any kind arising out of or in consequence of or in connection with the Delegate's attendance at the conference.

4. Delegate are wholly responsible for their own safety before/during /after the Conference. The Organisers will accept no responsibility for loss or damage whatsoever caused to the property of any Delegate.

5. Delegates are not allowed to bring into the Conference area, any substance that is liable to cause harm to the public or cause a fire or explosion. The Organisers may in their absolute discretion demand the removal of, or take steps themselves to remove, any such exhibit or substance of the Delegat's expense.

The Organiser shall not be responsible for the loss of or damage to any property of the Delegate or any other person caused by theft, fire, storm, tempest, lightning, national emergency, civil unrest, war, labour disputes, lockouts, explosions, acts of God and general causes of force majeure whether or not ejusdem generies with the foregoing or any cause not within the organisers control or for any loss or damages sustained in the event that the opening or holding of the Conference is prevented, postponed or abandoned or if the hall becomes totally or partially unavailable for holding of the Conference due to any of the foregoing causes. The Delegate is advised to take out an insurance cover for the purpose of indemnifying the Organiser as aforesaid and also to covering itself against all risks for attending the Conference in respect of which the Organiser is expressed not to be responsible in these conditions.

7. All credit card payments will incur five percent surcharge on the printed conference fees.

8. In no event shall the Delegate, have any claim for damages of any kind against the Organiser in respect of any loss or damage consequent upon breakdown prevention or postponement or abandonment of the Conference by reason of the happening of any of the events referred to in condition 9 or otherwise or of the venue becoming wholly or partially unavailable for the holding of the Conference for reasons beyond the Organiser's control and Organiser shall be entitled to retain all sums paid by the Delegate or such part thereof as the Organiser shall consider necessary. If in the opinion of the Organiser by re-arrangement or postponement of the period of the Conference or by substitution of another hall or building or in any other reasonable manner, the Conference can be carried out, these conditions shall be binding upon the delegates except as to size and position as to which any modification or re-arrangement shall be determined by the Organiser.
