Who can attend GHEDEX 2008?
GHEDEX is the Sultanate’s only show dedicated to Higher Education. Visitors will include graduates and undergraduate students, high school students, parents, young professionals, government officials in the education sector, principals, deans, faculty of schools, colleges and universities, representatives/counsellors for overseas education, career counsellors, HR and corporate, training managers and media.

How can I register to attend GHEDEX 2008?
Before Show Days - You may register online to attend the event. Once your registration has been processed, you will receive a confirmation email with a registration ID. Simply present the registration ID and your business card at the registration desk to attend the event.

During Show Days (Muscat 7 – 9 April 2008)(Salalah 12 – 13 April 2008) - You can register yourself during the event at the Visitor Registration area at the venue. Registering for the event will enable you to return to the show on all days.

As a visitor to GHEDEX, do I have access to other concurrent shows?
Yes, you will be able to visit the concurrent events taking place alongside GHEDEX.
The events for GHEDEX Muscat are – Edutech 2008, Schoolex 2008, Jobex 2008, Trainex 2008.
The events for GHEDEX Salalah are – Jobex 2008, Trainex 2008.

Is there parking at the venue?
Yes, 1000 vehicles can be accommodated in the front and rear car parks of the exhibition centre, plus 1500 cars at the side of the centre. For further information please visit the Oman International Exhibition Centre website -

Where can I eat?
The cafeteria at the venue will serve light snacks and refreshments. However there are several eateries and multi-cuisine restaurants offering anything from a quick drink to more substantial meals around the exhibition centre.

Is there any entrance fee payable to visit the exhibition?
There is no charge to visit GHEDEX 2008.

How do I get to the Exhibition Centre?
The Oman Exhibition Centre is situated in close proximity to the Seeb International Airport, which is 35 km from the city center (Muscat). The city has a fleet of buses plying to all localities in and around Muscat. Taxis or cabs are available for travel within the city. You can also hire rental cars and Rent a Car companies have offices at hotels throughout the country.
