The Sultanate of Oman enjoys one of the best environmental conditions and the authorities are continuously striving for the overall preservation of the environment and its natural resources through control and protection projects. This event lends a helping hand in creating awareness and introduction of new technology and services.
Countries and industries are increasingly concerned with environmental issues related to recycling and waste, as well as air, noise and water pollution. Environmental preservation, wildlife protection and natural resources conservation are main pivots of the national policy structure for achieving all aspects of sustainable development. The Sultanate of Oman sought to establish an advanced and comprehensive institutional and legislative system and develop strategies, action plans and programs necessary for ensuring the safety of the environment with all of its components.
The national efforts continue to enhance the elements of efficient environmental management as well as develop and improve the produce of environmental work through continuous coordination with all the concerned parties, observance of international and regional agreements and treaties and joining efforts with the international community to achieve the objectives of sustainable development to ensure compatibility between the requirements of both the development process and the protection of the environment with its natural resources for current and future generations.
