PARIS — Yahya bin Saud al Sulaimi, Minister of Education, met Koichiro Matsuura, Director General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (Unesco). Sulaimi, who is also Chairman of the Omani National Committee for Education, Culture and Science, is in the French capital at the head of Oman’s delegation to the 34th session of Unesco’s General Conference. The Unesco Director General welcomed the minister and expressed thanks for the Sultanate’s keenness to actively participate in Unesco’s works and meetings and its rich contribution to future programmes and plans of the organisation in service of member states’ needs.
